DBS checks

Every walker on Barkevo can apply for an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. Walkers who pass receive a verified badge on their profile. We recommend only booking DBS-verified walkers, especially for home visits and boarding.

DBS checks are renewed every 3 years. The badge is automatically removed if a check expires.

Secure payments

Payments are processed by Stripe — PCI-compliant and encrypted end-to-end. Your card details never touch our servers. Funds are held until the walk is marked complete, so you're protected if a booking is cancelled or a dispute arises.

Live GPS tracking

When a confirmed walk begins, walkers share their location in real time. You can follow the route from your phone and receive photo updates directly in the chat. Location data is deleted 30 days after the booking ends.

Verified reviews

Only clients who have completed a paid booking can leave a review. We don't allow walkers to solicit or remove reviews. Every rating you see is genuine.

Report a problem

If something goes wrong, contact us at safety@barkevo.com or use the report function in the app. We aim to respond within 2 hours for urgent safety issues.
