The Barkevo Guarantee

If a walker cancels, fails to show up, or the service wasn't delivered as agreed, you get your money back. No small print, no vouchers — a real refund to your original payment method.

Payments are held securely by Stripe until the walk is marked complete. Your card is never charged until you're satisfied.

How we protect every booking

Payment protection

Your payment is held securely until the walk is marked complete. If a walker cancels, you receive a full refund — no questions asked.

DBS badge where verified

Walkers on Barkevo can complete a basic DBS check. The verified badge is only shown after we verify the certificate, and is automatically removed if it expires.

Live GPS during every walk

Follow your dog's route in real time on your phone. Walkers share their location automatically when a confirmed walk begins. Location data is deleted 30 days after the booking.

Genuine reviews only

Only clients who have completed a paid booking can leave a review. We never allow walkers to remove or dispute reviews. Every star you see is real.

Photo updates during walks

Walkers can send photos directly through the app during the walk. You see how your dog is doing without needing to message or call.

Incident reporting

If anything unexpected happens during a walk, walkers are required to file an incident report through the app. You're notified immediately and we review every report.

What happens if something goes wrong

Email safety@barkevo.com or use the Report a Problem button inside the booking. We aim to respond within 2 hours for urgent issues.

We investigate

We review the booking history, messages, GPS data, and photos. Both parties are heard before any decision is made.

Resolution

If the service wasn't delivered as agreed, we issue a full or partial refund. We handle every case on its own merits.
